What To Know
We’re so excited that you are going to be an official part of the Crossroads family!
After worship, Pastor Zac will ask you to join him on stage. This will be around 10:05am.
He’ll read your names while you’re on stage then ask charge you with several questions. The questions are below as well as your response in the parenthesis.
In presenting yourself for membership, you are undertaking a solemn commitment, and it is expected that you will consistently uphold this commitment and dutifully fulfill your responsibilities as a loyal member.
- Do you openly acknowledge and affirm that you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, having received full pardon for your sins? (The applicant(s) will respond, “I do.”)
- Are you prepared to live your life in accordance with the teachings of Scripture, allowing it to guide your path? (I am.)
- Crossroads Community Church is part of the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee, a denomination with over 8 million members in 191 countries. Our church is governed by this body. Do you understand and accept this governance? (I do)
- We believe in spiritual authority. Pastor Zac is accountable to an administrative Bishop, and we have checks and balances within our church as well. Do you understand and submit to this spiritual authority? (Yes)
- Today, you commit to being an active, responsible member, practicing proper stewardship of your time, talents, and financial resources, serving generously, and attending church regularly. Do you agree to this? (Yes)
