What To Know
We’re so excited that you are going to be an official part of the Crossroads family!
After worship, Pastor Zac will ask you to join him on stage. This will be around 10:10am.
He’ll read your names while you’re on stage then ask charge you with several questions. The questions are below as well as your response in the parathesises.
In presenting yourself for membership, you are undertaking a solemn commitment, and it is expected that you will consistently uphold this commitment and dutifully fulfill your responsibilities as a loyal member.
- Do you openly acknowledge and affirm that you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, having received full pardon for your sins? (The applicant(s) will respond, “I do.”)
- Are you prepared to live your life in accordance with the teachings of Scripture, allowing it to guide your path? (I am.)
- Will you adhere to and align with the Church of God’s guidelines, as outlined in Scripture and detailed in the Minutes of the International General Assembly? (I am.)
- Are you committed to actively participating in the church, both through your regular attendance and contributing financially to the best of your ability, as the Lord prospers you? (I am.)
- Do you consent to being receptive to the guidance and advice of those who hold authority within the church and are appointed to oversee spiritual matters? (I do.)
